Rajesh Awasthi: A Brief Profile

Born on August 19,1969. Mr. Rajesh Awasthi did his M.Phil in Geography with specialization in Regional Planning. He completed his post graduation in Geography from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidayalya, Indore, securing First Position in the University. At present he is engaged in his doctoral research under the title “ Metropolitanisation and Rural Transformation: A case study of villages around Indore, Metropolis”. For his scholarly work Mr. Rajesh Awasthi has been awarded the State Integrated Merit Scholarship for completing his studies.

Mr. Awasthi has a vast experience of teaching and academic administration. Before coming to Choithram School North Campus, he has worked with prestigious Schools like Vatsalya Public School, Mandsaur, Sarafa Vidya Niketan, Karnataka Vidya Niketan, Imperial Academy and Guru Harkrishan Public School.

Research in the field of Education and Geography are the area of his interest . He has more than 17 research papers to his credit published at National and International level. He has also done projects on various subject of Regional Planning, Metropolitanisation etc. His work has been acknowledged in the form of “The International Young Geographer’s Award by International Geographical Union.

In the field of education he has well developed vision and is quit innovative. He believes that the students must be given the opportunity to learn in an environment of personal concern. In a conference organized by Mumbai professional Education Forum, his presentation on “ Managing Academics”, A Techno-professional Approach’ was adjudged as the best presentation and was awarded “ The Young Administrator Award”.

Very recently he is honoured with “Innovative Teacher Award’’ on his presentation. “Developmental Discipline” under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource & Development. Mr. Awasthi is deeply engaged in the Teacher Education Programme and visit various institution all round the state to train teachers and help them in developing teaching attitude and skills. He himself has designed 11 Module Teacher Training Programme covering various aspect of Teachers Development.

Mr. Awasthi as an organizer has organized many conferences, seminars, symposium etc. at district, state and national level.
